Grafton, a division of Gi Group specialized in the recruitment and selection of Middle Management profiles, is searching on behalf of an important client—an industry leader in the production of special and shielded cables—for a:

Lean and Quality Manager:

Responding to the Plant Manager, the Lean and Quality Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and quality performance across the copper cables manufacturing operations. This role ensures the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles, robust quality management systems, and compliance with industry standards, while reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Lean & Continuous Improvement

• Lead the development and deployment of Lean manufacturing methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM).

• Identify and eliminate waste and improve process flow across copper wire stranding, insulation, braiding and sheathing operations.

• Facilitate continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.

• Track and report KPIs such as OEE, scrap rate, yield, and productivity.

• Train and coach employees in Lean tools and problem-solving methods.

Quality Management

• Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and relevant cable standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CPR).

• Ensure product quality from raw copper to finished cable.

• Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.

• Oversee testing, inspection, and calibration activities.

• Maintain quality documentation and records.

Compliance & Audits

• Lead internal, external, and customer audits.

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

• Support new product introduction through risk assessments (FMEA, control plans).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership.

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Sales.

• Lead and develop the quality and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Management.

• 5–8 years’ experience in manufacturing (cable or metals industry preferred).

• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and quality systems.

• Strong english knowledge

• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
