Within the Asset Baset Services (no drilling) Business Line, we are looking for Welding Engineer to be employed in our plant in Fano;


In this position the resource will be involved in following activities:


  1. Provide Welding support to all engineering disciplines to comply with contractual requirements and with the updated technological criteria;
  2. Evaluate Client/End User tender documents and requirements relevant to metallic materials and associated fabrication process;
  3. Prepare and issue preliminary Welding Documents for assigned project or bids;
  4. Prepare/Update Welding General Specifications and Standards, PMI Specification, technical specifications for special metallic materials and welding consumables, NDT table for piping/pipeline construction welds;
  5. Review welding documents (WPS/PQR), welding repair and heat treatment procedures issued by Manufacturer/Vendor and prepare welding qualification matrix and pWPS for piping/pipeline direct hiring construction welds;
  6. Define and witness welding trial test for special materials;
  7. Manage the welding qualifications phase of a Project through supervision of nominated subcontractor or by direct hiring providing the required technical support and liaising with personnel on-site up to the emission of Welding Book;
  8. Participate to Welding Procedure Qualifications in our Pipeline Technologies Center Located in Ploiesti – Romania.
  9. Ensure the readiness of the welding equipment on vessels/yards prior the start of the installation/production
  10. Participate to the welder qualifications onboard vessels or on site.
  11. Follow up of the KPIs (Key Performance Indicator), analyze and explain any deviation.
  12. Liaise with independent research bodies (e.g. TWI, EWI, IIS) to develop the application of new metallic materials, technologies and test;
  13. Review journals and technical papers for new welding technology. Maintain contact with welding equipment suppliers and consumable vendors to promote advances in welding technology.


Requirements:

· Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chimical, Materials Engineering

· Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a Welding Engineer in the Oil&Gas industry

· Technical Skills: it is appreciated the International Welding Engineer (IWE) Certificate
