FINANCE MANAGER
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting, Analysis and Control
Responsibility for all accounting entries related to the corporate entities
Ownership of monthly management accounts, including analysis against budget and prior years
Ensure compliance with both Italian and IFRS accounting standards and Global company policies
Budgeting and Forecasting
Preparation of annual budget and monthly reforecasts for the company
Preparation of a detailed 13-week liquidity forecast on a monthly basis
Preparation of ad hoc forecasts and analysis as required
Audit and Financial Statements
Preparation of financial statements for corporate entities
Ownership of annual audits for corporate entities, managing all audit requests and liaising
Day-to-day with the audit team (local and Group)
Treasury and Tax Responsibilities
Oversight of treasury function, managing day-to-day banking and cashflow management
Ownership of TOMS VAT processes, ensuring accurate margin calculations, timely submissions, and regulatory compliance
Working with Group Tax and local advisors to ensure local legislative, VAT and corporation tax compliance
People
Business partnering with stakeholders from around the group, including local operational and sales teams and central support teams located between London and the US
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) including membership of the relevant accredited
Professional body e.g. Dottore Commercialista (IT) or ICAEW (UK)/equivalent
3- 5 years experience within large corporate environment
Must have prior experience working with TOMS in a travel or tour operator setting
Experience within the travel/tourism industry preferred but not required
Skills & Knowledge
Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is essential
Proven experience in business transformation and process improvement
Skilled in aligning local finance practices with wider group policy, ensuring standardisation, compliance and best practice adoption
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with modern ERP systems and Italian billing portal interfaces is preferred
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organised
Highly accurate, organised, analytical and self-motivated
