Contratto a tempo indeterminato - in aziendaWe're looking for an HW System Architect for Marelli, Electronics Business.
The Hardware System Architect (HWSA) is part of the System Architecture Team and he/she directly reports to HW Technologies leader.
As part of Platform Team, he/she follows the semiconductor technology trend that could be part of a Cockpit, Body computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU.
As part of the Offer Team, he/she contributes to the early definition of the product during the Offer Phase in order to make proper evaluation of the HW perimeter and related cost.
As part of the System Team, he/she is responsible for defining HW related System Requirements and System Architecture under coordination of the SAL
Main activities/responsabilities:
- In a new platform development for ICE or EV vehicles, map the vehicle functions into the vehicle ECUs and define at high level the hardware-network topology of the main interconnection buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, A2B).
- In a new platform development for ICE and EV, define the Power distribution (12V-48V) architecture of the vehicle ECUs.
- Define the main HW components of a Cockpit, Body Computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU providing the HW architecture document.
- Monitor technology trends on HW functionalities also comparing proposals from different vendors.
- Specify and select the basic HW function components needed to achieve the target performances and to ensure the best cost/performance compromise.
- Participate to competitor analysis activity transferring best design practices to internal team.
- Establish and to monitor the traceability of System Requirements related to HW, mechanics, optics and industrial constraints in cooperation with the SRE and SW System Architects.
- Model the System HW in order to allocate Requirements to the HW System Blocks.
- Provide governance in the HW team about different implementation proposals.
- Deploy the System FMEA and qualitative FTA.
- Support the Functional Safety Management Team in the technical safety concept definition.
- Support the Testing team in the definition of the industrialization requirements.
- Support the HW, layout, mechanical, thermal, optical development teams during review and implementation of critical requirements (e.g. safety relevant).
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
- +5 years of experience in the Automotive OEM industry following ICE and EV vehicles architecture definition.
- Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree.
- Electronics component technology knowledge.
- Experience on HW design, HW product development or HW production.
- HW/SW partitioning and HW/Mechanical concept definition.
- The above competences have to be maturated in automotive area or other large-scale market.
- Experienced in planning, monitoring, and control activities.
LANGUAGES
- Advanced written and spoken English
- Basic spoken Italian (not mandatory)
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Technical leadership.
- Ability to work with multinational distributed teams.
- High capacity of synthesis for all the technical issues.
- Problem solving attitude.
- Willing to travel to the customer, supplier and MARELLI locations involved.
