Contratto a tempo indeterminato - in aziendaFor Marelli (Electronics), Grafton is looking for an Optic Engineer/Designer to join the R&D Team to design and develop clusters, CID, PID for automotive industries.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyse optical customer requirements
- Design and develop illumination for cluster, CID, PID in automotive industries
- Define set-ups and measure optical properties with appropriate optical devices
- Analyze measurements and write reports
- Validate full Optical design and optical characteristics
- Interface with customers to define the optical specifications
- Interface with suppliers for components in “Buy” like AMLCD/AMOLED
- Co-design with other R&D offices and departments (WW countries)
- Interface with production plants located in different countries.
Requirements:
- Degree in optics, physics or engineering science
- Knowledge in display technology (performances, materials, manufacturing…)
- Knowledge of physical optics, photometry, spectrophotometry, light polarization
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- 2/5 years previous experience
Other:
- Knowledge in LED source
- Knowledge in optical films for backlighting
- Knowledge in HUD or any projection system
- Display backlight simulation
